Pygmalion effect

This is a phenomenom that explains how a group is influenced by others expectations at the moment of getting a result, mostly of the times the more expectations the better the result.

As i think its better to learn with examples than with theory, we are going to study the movie "golpe bajo".

The main topic of the movie is that theres going to be a football match between the guards of a prision and the recruits.

The guards have a well trained team with a good strategy and coach. Basically they have everything needed to train and to be the winners of the match.

At the other hand we have the recruits that had never played football and their only motivation to play that match is to get revenge of the guards that have been very top and unfair with the recruits.

There is not equality in the teams becouse as i already said the guards had everything necesary to train and was an already existing team, but the recruits did not have a good place to train (except for a place with mud) neither a good equipment nor stretegy.

Adam sandler whos a prisioner start by motivating the people to play the match because almost no one wanted to play because of the unfair conditions.

Once he recruits all the team, they start to practice and Adamn Sandler see the potential they have to win the match. He starts to belive in them and always let them know and push them to work harder in order to win.
He creates expectation and always motivates them to train, to be loyal to the team and to trust in team members.

The prisioners start to belive in themselevs and create a link between all of them. They all create confidence and at the time of the match they do their best efford becouse Adamn Sandler is motivating them all the time until they win the match against the guards.
